  • Call to Order

  • Approval of Minutes arising from September 10, 2015 Meeting
    • Timing of posting minutes to POGA website
  • 15 minutes presentation by Mr. Pierre Doyon regarding Peaks Landing proposal
  • Business Arising from Minutes
  • ACTION: Steve to contact Alberta Registries to insure we have addressed the concerns and to follow-up at the next meeting
  • ACTION: Agreement for POGA to send a letter to the Mayor and Council to ask for more time to be provided to review the MDP given the importance of the MDP to all citizens of Canmore
  • ACTION: To officially ask the Quarry Lake Foundation for a copy of the Survey results

Deanna discovered this survey has not yet been finalized. Blanca Rose Cervi has asked for a copy. Alaric Fish, Town of Canmore planning department, will provide Blanca and Deanna a copy once this survey has been finalized.

  • Community Notice Board – Special Project

ACTION: Lawrence to measure Quarry Lake Sign and inquire about how POGA can have one fabricated to post community notices. Sign to be placed at the entrance to the Peaks of Grassi Community.

  • Other Potential Issues: identified on the POGA website during the Election of the POGA BOARD:
  • Round-About at three way stop at Three Sisters and Peaks Drive (by the Watermark resort)
  • 40 kilometer speed zone in the Peaks community
  • The existing bylaws relating to parking of commercial vehicles, RVs on the street and in drive ways in the community
  • Lack of ROAM bus service within or near the community
  • Establishment of a Neighbourhood Watch
  • POGAs Stewardship of Quarry Lake and surrounds
  • Possible Community gathering places
  • Cement sidewalk in need of repair within the community

 

  • New Business
    • Possible discussion with By-Law Officer, TBA
    • Municipal Development Plan (MDP)
      • Confirmation on whether Town of Canmore will lead public forums on the MDP
      • POGA to possibly organize and lead Canmore wide forums regarding the MDP
      • Formation of a MDP committee
    • POGA versus FPGI (Friends of Peaks of Grassi Inc.)
    • Welcome Wagon – Rodney
      • Formation of a committee
    • POGA Website - Rodney
